1. THE HISTORY OF THE MINISTRY
The Soul-winning and Discipling Ministries is a non-profit interdenominational Ministry founded in 2012 by BISHOP KYABA MBAKU, when he was still in the refugee camp in Tanzania due to a burning desire of the missionary calling God put into his heart for years to fulfill the great commission of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.(Mathew 28:18-20)
As well as the excitement or challenges he experienced after he had read the Gospel of Mathew 9:38-39, where Jesus said to his disciples that ‘’the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few, pray therefore the Lord of harvest to send out labourers into his field’’
SWDM is a group of gifted servants of God from different denominations devoted to Evangelism and discipleship, it is also dedicated to reach as many people with the gospel of Jesus Christ that touches, transforms hurting people and restoring them through the love of God.
2. PLANNINED AND ACHIEVED ACTIVITIES
The ministry does many spiritual activities such as:
– We equip church elders, pastors and Evangelist from different denominations on Evangelism, discipleship and church planting.
– we hold Evangelical crusades, door to door Evangelism, Prison ministry, seminars in churches, revival meetings and Bible conferences.
– We demonstrate the love of Jesus by practical care of orphan children who had lost their parents from HIV pandemic, wars etc… And widows by providing food, health medical care, clothing and educational expenses. (James 1:27).
But the ones we have succeeded from 2018 until 2021 are as follows:
– On 28th up to 31st /December/ 2018, we conducted a seminar for leadership for 100 pastors from different denominations. And we were able to invite Rooted in Jesus Ministry Teachers from UK, Pastor Kenneth and his wife Yvonne; along with other two guest from Uganda.
This seminar was a great blessing to those churches.
– On 28th December 2019 and 16th November 2021, we succeeded in feeding 78 orphan children from different denominations.
– We also help 25 orphan children with the school fees for six months.
– on Monday 10th January 2022, we started cultivating the feed of sweet potatoes as we are looking for buying the ministry ground (plot).
– We have created a bible teaching way called “sauti ya mtoto ndani ya makanisa”. In English “the child’s voice in the churches” Where we taught the children in Sunday school how to preach themselves, sing and organizing relative activities to Sunday school.
This activities is organised to help our children of 5 to 12 years old to grow spiritually and turn them to become autonomous in words of God. It still going on.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
– With our own contributions, we have bought two sawing machines and are available in our ministry. With this machines we teach some vulnerable women how to saw different kind of dress to straggle against their poverty in our community and ministry gaining some small money to help itself with papers, printing document,…
– We succeed in planting some churches in different provinces, such as Lubumbashi, Salamabila, Kolwezi, and Bukavu.
FUTURE PLAN
In the future, we are planning to do the following activities:
– To establish a Bible college, to prepare the efficient GOD’s servants for the mission work.
– To construct an orphanage building, a vocational training centre, and a health centre to help these vulnerables to become all God intended for them in life.
-To help orphan children who had lost their parent from HIV pandemic, wars, ethnical conflicts,…and widows by providing food, health medical care, clothing and educational expenses (school fees).
– To reach other disabled children in different schools in our area, to be identified to take them in charge with school fees, clothes…so that this could not fill that they are excluded of societies and those who did not attend school due to different problems.
– To involve in the intensive forming, growing crops and keeping livestock, for the development of the ministry.
UNCOUNTED DIFFICULTIES
During the achievement of activities, we met or uncounted the following difficulties
– Insufficient resources to realise or cover our activities.
– Lack of transport means to attend some remote villages and to facilitate us even doing quickly activities in our living area.
– Lack of a ground where to construct orphanage for orphan children.
